International Student Ball

The first formal event that i've been to in Melb!

The International Student Ball 15 August 2008...

Had some difficulty looking for clothes to wear.haha.its quite surprising to hear that from a guy i suppose.but this was a different case! =P i didnt have my suite with me as it was back in msia.so was actually considering buying one here and save the trouble of sending the one i had in msia over (but of course i wanted to buy here coz i'l get another new one! :P hehe...jk!) hi dad hi mom! :P :P they do read my blog u know =D LOL! ok anyway cut the crap.

It was quite expensive to buy here.the average price for 1 suite here cost about $300-500 for a decent one.so decided to just ship over the one i have.
mom had to get the altering done within 2 days and ship it over within 3 days! ^^ thank youuuu! <3!

On an unrelated even,
This was during the night when the olympics was launched!
the night of 8th of August 2008.
well it was after midnight so technically it was 9th Aug.
we came home at about 3am from kevin's steamboat dinner, and found a surprising sight!
this driver probably didnt want to miss the olympics opening ceremony that he was in a rush and got into an accident hitting our house' mailbox! =/ -____-" or probably he was going for the gold medal in the olympics' car racing competition. LOL!

well, the worst part was, after hitting our mailbox, he left the car unattended.he just left.without his car! LOL.but yea, we called the police to make a report and the police came after that to toll the car away.and we had to call our landlord the next day.and found out later on that this was actually a stolen car, coz when the police trace back to the car owner, this vehicle was actually reported stolen.so couldnt claim any insurance on our part.

SMKSU Prefect's Reunion

Have not been updating my blog for quite some time now that i can even see spider webs everywhere xD
have been busy with uni because i came back to Melbourne 1 week after uni started and had some "catching up" to do =P
this was the next event in line after my genting trip. SMKSU Prefect's Reunion 2008 organised by Lim Shwe Ying and her year's prefects at KL Tower, it was held on the july 8th 2008 (this is how long since i last updated) LOL.
Well, guest of honor, Hannah Yeoh was present. After some issues the organizing committee had with the teachers, where the teachers didn't want Hannah Yeoh to be present on that day because she is a member of the opposition party, what rubbish! Anyway the issue was resolved and she came! *claps* that teacher can go and eat shit.haha.
so! after much persuasion, suzzane agreed to go with me! :D

After party: We went to Lunar Bar which was just nearby, but hm...it was rm50 per person per entry.so...yea, the after party we had was heading home! :P

nontheless, we had lots of fun! especially the part where suzzane and i tried accessing the upper level of KL Tower which was the scenic view deck which we didn't know it was already closed.haha.went up there, it was so dark and scary we quickly close the elevator's door and soon discovered that we couldn't go back to the level which the dinner was held without a security's pass. so we had to go all the way down and we were stuck there for awhile.then we met some other silly people who couldn't go back to that level too :P haha.so we followed them.they asked the security to bring us up but that security guard didn't have the pass.we tried using the stairs but it was all locked.the next thing we did was, going into the elevator, went to the revolving restaurant which doesn't need a pass, which was just above the level the dinner was held.and thought of using the stairs at the revolving restaurant to go down 1 level to where the dinner is.but that staircase was also locked! =/ then we just stood in the elevator, didnt know what to do next. Just as when we were gonna give up, without pressing anything in the elevator.all of us was just standing there looking at each other. the elevator MOVED! it went down one level and TADA! we arrived at our destination.LOL.someone from that dinner level pressed the escalator to go down.HAHA.the end of our adventure :P

In addition, in an unrelated event...
I just sent in my resume today, to 2 shops in uni, looking for a part time job.
2 hours later..i got a phone call and...
weee! i'm employed!! haha for now.provided i don't screw anything up during my work duration which starts TOMORROW AT 9AM! so cool...!
i know that would mean less sleep for me, but...
i can save for an airticket back to malaysia end of this year! =D

okaay! better get back to my tute work! no more slacking as i don't have as much time to spare anymore..that's all for now.next update ~ Cameron Trip =D

Kota Kinabalu Trip

OKAAAY! finally touch down in kota kinabalu..and this is the car my dad borrowed from his company for our trip :D
its seriously slow! trust me..no power at all :P haha..we were as slow as the 10tonne lorry when we were going up slope.. lol

After 6 hours of hiking upwards..we finally reached the resting house...
u cant imagine how tired we were..
at a certain point of the hike..we had to stop every 15min of hiking to catch our breathe.

thaaaaat's me! looking strong outside but half dead inside..muscles were aching like MAD!

how i wished i could just roll all the way down...haha :P

and look wat did the mountain do to my brother's shoe! :S even adidas couldnt make it up and down the mountain..LOL

Its Ai Ling's graduation tmr! and i'm gona be her official photographer for the day! woohoo! how cool is that! :P will post pictures up after i'm done with it :)

i really hope for good weather tmr although weather forecast states possible showers =/ and..hopefully nothing goes wrong with my camera settings..if not i'm doomed :S a lot of pressure..but i like the challenge! :D muahaha! ;-)

i bought a laptop bag for 50% discount!!! :D :D

yea..i know its orange! but i needed a bag! and original price was $60, i only got it for $30, that's savings of $30 = RM90 :D haha..trying to make myself feel better.but i kinda don't mind the orange colour.although i hope they had other colours.. but anyway! i dont usually carry my laptop around..so i'l use this bag to carry my uni stuff or books or whatever.

i'm still gona want to buy another bag when i go back to msia :P

Virus colony

My virus colony is the room that i am in most of the time.My house mate holds his breathe to avoid getting the sickness when he comes into my room to give me something =/
Have this "sickness package thingy" which lasted for like a few weeks already,
and still have not recovered from it :( sobs.Cough Flu Cold Soar throat.
this sucks! i am suppose to stay away from McD, fried stuff, my chocolates :'( but hm...
i am still eating it ONCE in a while.. :P

sigh..exams exams! they're coming like real soon! one more months time!
my exam timetable is..... (rather the dates)
June 5, 6, 10, 12, 13
soooo dead..
meantime, one class test coming up on 12 May and an assignment due on 23 May.

things to look forward to...
- meeting aitert next week for dinner! :)
- going back to MSIA!!! on JUNE 14!! :D :D

During easter break! :) which is quite some time ago and i'm only updating now :P
oh well.uni life..busy!

i bought this from singapore airport!! during the transit from msia-singapore and singapore-melb :D its superrrrrr cheap! i asked a sony ericsson shop in pavillion, it was selling for rm299 :S :S crazy! this one after convert its only about rm80+ to rm90+. such a big difference wei! sony somemore!haha..

next shopping destination was IkEA! bought a standing lamp, clock and blanket cover!

Pavillion & starhill gallery

Suzzane and i went to pavillion as she has promised to bring me there since i've not been there before =S haha..dun be surprise! :P i've only been back in msia for like what?3 months?haha and 2 month were contributed strictly to work :S so the whole holidays, or rather two thirds = no life.anyway, yea she promised to bring me and so we went! :D on my last day in malaysia.haha.

once we arrived at the mall, we went straight to the cinema to get movie tickets.we bought "kung fu dunk" by jaychou.

its quite a good show! tho some people might say that its too exaggerated, fake, etc. but to me its ok. its yeng! at the same time funny. haha. i would wana watch it a second time :D lol.for those who have not watched the show. OUTDATED!!! haha kidding :P lol

SO! we bought the tickets and it was in another 3 hrs time or so, we went shopping! looked around for my shoes, went to puma...nothing nice; went to addidas...nothing different to my current shoe; went to nike...yay!found one that i quite like but wasn't sure if mother allows.hm...went for lunch instead, at NANDO's! suzzane had cash vouchers so... :D

we sat the biggest table there was :P haha..everyone that came in was looking at us :P lol.. and look at nando's quote... "as chickens, we know a thing or two about love birds" aiks...haha.

After lunch, movie!
After movie, shopping!

Haha. i went back looking for my shoes, got the green light from my mom :D woohoo! and so here it is! :D

wee!! love this shoe :P hehe.

After i bought my shoes..we went to starhill gallery to scout around for a place to eat, as i've promised to bring suzzane for dinner if she were to score TER80 and above for her SAM results. haha.went there, everything look so grand and fancy.even the toilet! :S haha.suzzane was like saying dowan to eat there coz it'll be pricy, but hm..it was our last meal in msia before i leave, and i was thinking of combining valentines dinner and her results dinner together.so starhill it was! haha.. we chose Shook.it is apparently a place where singers and actors & actresses dine (source: http://www.ytlcommunity.com/shook/)

It was too early for dinner, so we walked around starhill, camwhored :P and went suzzane brought me to try some kind of cheese sausage, not the ordinary ones we buy from supermarkets, this was nice and juicy and yummy!! :D haha...

okaaaaaay! DINNER TIME! :D

this guy here was introducing the various wines that i can order. i didnt really understand half the things he was talking about.but i acted as if i knew, and nodded my head with acknowledgment :P once he was done, i said, i'l take a look at the menu and will probably order later.haha :S he was suggesting us to open a bottle of wine, and he said the champagne was good to start for a romantic dinner :S i was like..okaaaay.it was the most expensive one on the list :P haha.i didnt say that of course :P aiks.And a bottle?!we wont be able to finish it.so i ordered 2 glasses instead.hehe.

look around us, we were the youngest.haha they were all in their 30s-40s and older :S

after dinner, we sipped and enjoy our wine. we even examined the wine :P haha.coz i ordered one more expensive compared to the other, with the intention to taste if there's a difference :P haha.the 2 wines are:
1. Hunters P/Noir (the more expensive one)
2. Gracia

First we tried both and notice that Hunters has a heavier and more solid body compared to Gracia. then i asked suzzane to close her eyes, i gave her both glasses at random order, and asked her to differentiate the both. and she said the Gracia was the more expensive one. haha. so is there actually much difference? or do most people already have a mindset when they know this is an expensive wain, and so it should have the so on and so forth taste.

on a side note: i actually think people in the society nowadays are so affected by the price of an item that they actually lose their judgment. people tend to have the mentality that expensive stuff are good stuff, and tend to appreciate it more. like how people usually associate gifts to how much it cost. i actually think that even if i get a cheap wine and said it was expensive, people who tried it and wana act smart would say that its a good wine, that it has a strong and solid taste, that the taste stays in your mouth longer, bla bla bla. only the finest taste buds can tell the difference.hm... so people! don't act smart if you don't know nuts :P haha...

BUT! hm... it was chui san's bday on the 1st of feb.and beng wei n chui san got drunk.. :S and decided not to go the next day :-S what the heck!

receive the tragic news on 2feb08, the trip day itself. called suzzane in the morning, and her parents only allow her to go if we were to get a third person. we didnt know how to call, and so the plan was canceled. *both of us was so disappointed*

As i was about to go back to sleep...haha, suzzane called and said the 3rd person would be her brother! HAHA :D and so there is was!! our trip! wakakkaa..

Drove all the way there, stopped by seremban to have breakfast, and continued our journey after that. drove past butterfly park and duno what other parks, and saw malacca zoo! we decided to go in, paid rm2 for the carpark :D haha.as we were looking for a place to park, suzzane's brother got up from his nap and ask us where we were.he was so shocked that we were in the zoo :-S as crazy as we were...suzzane's brother wasn't up for it :( so we left the carpark empty handed, donated rm2 to the parking fellow. aiks.

went to suzzane's aunt's hse. met their crazy cousin, darren! haha.the aunty and uncle brought us for lunch after that at some beef noddle restaurant (supposingly the famous one) hehe..cant really decide which is better. malacca's beef noodle or seremban's one. ate a lot for lunch. a big bowl of noodles, and 2 fried chicken, which one was suppose to be darren's but he said he can eat it anytime he wants, i'm visiting malacca so i should eat more.aiks...

went back to the shopping mall. while waiting for daryl, the other cousin to come pick us up, we dared each other to go up there to take a picture. NOTE: THERE ARE PEOPLE AROUND LOOKING AT US! :S haha... that's darren and suzzane. I wasn't that silly to do the dare first, in case they didn't keep to their word.wakakaka... =P =P

After exploring the red houses and all the historical places, we met up with the uncle aunty again for dinner. ate this really huge burger! and a bowl of spaghetti :P speaking of which, the lunch and satay were still in my stomach.haha..super full after that! LOL.couldn't really move.

And guess what we did next, we went to jonker walk for MORE FOOD!!! :S aiks.. u see that face?first time i'm doing :S this when it comes to food. hahaha. but nothing heavy, we bought Bubble Tea, ice cream and taiwanese sausage.

Darren and Joon jern went back to the house and me, suzzane, daryl and his friend went around exploring. wanted to go check out some clubs in malacca...but :P haha...not that interesting. so decided to go...FOOD AGAIN! lol...

we needed some walk after all the food...due to influence by suzzane, we decided (forced) to go to the jetty.haha =P but thanks to her influence, haha it was a nice place to hang out =P windy and peaceful!

they had a buggy to fetch us to the end of the jetty. and so we had some free time...haha CAMWHORE! :D aiks...

went back to the aunty's hse at about 3 something. haha what happened to the 1 day trip :S lol..decided to overnight at the aunty's place coz it was late :P haha... slept at about 4 something.
wanted to wake up early to head back home but..hm...someone couldn't get up =P =P lol..haha..partially my fault too.kept going back to sleep.haha.nontheless, we reached home at about 2pm ;-)

what a trip! ate lots and had loads of fun!

Kinda promised su lynn that i'l meet her at the prom in sunway lagoon resort hotel and so at first we (me,chinseong and bengwei) were walking in pyramid, then decided to go to rainforest to order some drinks :P haha..a jag of beer and some shots :P then when the time was right..when the security in that area wasnt that tight.we strike! :D wakkakaka.it rimes :P we crashed the party.hm..more like go there and pat.the guard looking after the doors to the ballroom just let us in coz we were wearing shirts :D and so decided to take pics with my frens.apparently all girls..but hm :P who cares.haha.

10Jan08- It was just my bro, teck hao and i :) we had nothing to do so we drove up to genting.something me and my best fren, teck hao use to do when we were in high school. it brings back old memories ;-) teck hao just turned 21, an age that qualifies him to enter the man's world! :P haha the genting casino apparently..haha xD

we didnt do much there.just walked around and hang out like wat most ppl do in shopping malls. we were just spending some quality frens time together, catching up with each other's lifes.

haha this trip was a relatively short one.just a trip during the weekend.hehe..let me summarize it :D

drove to pd,walked at the beach,bbq for dinner,got drunk, sleep,woke up,lunch at mcd,drove home :P okie..pictures time =D =D

yay..here's another update.

my family and i went to sandakan on the 22nd to 24th of december,before christmas that is.yea hm its obvious.haha anyway.

we woke up like about 4AM on 22nd to leave the hse at 5AM.gila! haha.slept like the whole journey there.

hm..let the pictures do the talking of what we did there...ENJOY! :D

when i first reached the hotel.haha was testing their mirror if it was sharp and proportionate :P :P wakakaka..the hotel we stayed in is the one my dad's company built :D and they just launched it recently.the reason we were there was because my dad's company is having their annual dinner there and at the same time..so call celebrate the opening of the hotel :)

we had lunch in some very British like restaurant..hehe

yay! finally something to update on.my sister's bday! we celebrated it in sun & surf in sunway resort hotel.just the family and chungwei :) and we had A LOT to eat. haha..not to mention its buffet, so we just took the food freely..

Internship! hm..i've applied to EY and PWC.EY replied to ask me to fill in the formal application form, while PWC replied to ask me to resend my results. now still awaiting for their confirmation.i also applied to monash for summer course back in malaysia, it will take about 1 to 2 weeks for them to get back to me. so it's either summer course or internship.if my summer course gets approved, i'l go for it, cause i wouldnt wanna overload in my 3rd yr.i wiLL DIE! taking 4 subjects are bad enough..5??GG. soooo..hopefully my summer course will get approved ;-)

Hanging Rock Trip

it was during the week of my holidays, that saturday. i went there with michelle and the Urban Life group. we were suppose to go deap sea fishing, but due to weather conditions, it was canceled. sooo.. we end up going to Hanging Rock. i was expecting myself to sweat since its gonna be something like Grampians, which is hike hike and more hiking up the mountains. so i just brought my thin jacket.

left the house at about 8 something, and 14 ppl went!! we made 3 stops! :D
first stop: Mount Macedon Memorial Cross.
second: Hanging Rock
Third: Trentham Falls

Royal Melbourne Show

i went there with michelle, pohyee, ernest, li yan and swee hoe!! hehe..we had fun!!

tho i cost like $17 to enter (student price) and it cost more for the rides. and to win stuff, obviously u have to pay again to play those games. which means..u need CASH! to go.haha.

michelle, pohyee and i sat the euroslide, which cost only $3 per person but it was damn fun! i was the FASTEST!! wahahaha..i won them ;-) nah..not a big deal.after that we tried winning soft toys.

first stop: 3 pointer shoot basketball game
rules: $5 for 2 shots.enter one u can pick any soft toy there is.
i tried twice and gave up :(

2nd stop: throw a rubber ball into a pail
rules: after going into the pail, it must stay in and doesnt bounce out.$10 for 4 ball..go in 2, u win a soft toy and ur money back. u can play as many times u want but u just need 2 balls in.sounds easy huh?u can like pay $50 for 20 balls, but all u need is enter 2 balls, and u'll win a soft toy and all ur money back.sounds really really attractive.but the thing is, the ball never stays in, no matter how many times u try.stupid right?didnt win anything :(

3rd stop: also a basketball game, but nearer.
rules: $10 for 6 shots, all 6 enter, win a medium size soft toy, miss one or more, get a small soft toy. this shop is the best :D :D hehe..u win stuff even when u lose :S cool huh! and so here i won a eeyore (donkey from winnie the pooh) for michelle.she was so HAPPY! :D

hehe..so after that sat some rides, took some pictures, went back to the city and makan dinner, then went home! so tired, but had lots of fun.spend quite a lot also tho..but its the fun of it!!

ok...i know some ppl will ask what is WHAT IS? lol..somehow i find it quite catchy. u go around asking what is what is? and they go...HUH? loL

anyway..WHAY IS is a reach out by planet uni.it's sort of like a christian concert la.i duno how to explain..but i went.and it was COOOOL!!! besides the singing and jumping and prayers, they also had games! giving out prizes such as Ipod Nano and Nintendo wii.omg! that australian guy that won was so lucky!! jealous!!! :S

and guess what ppl...something new! :D :D
me myself and i..accepted christ ;-)
hehe surprised huh?! yeap... i'm so excited! hahaa..it seems like a whole new life, a whole new experience. and somehow it feels gooD! yea..sO!!!

i've met a lot of ppl there too.and some of them, my seniors from Subang UTAMA! i MET ABBY there.one year elder than me. i think she was the vice president for the interact club?i think most SU students will know her.anyway yea, after i accepted christ, she saw me and we talked and she asked me to join her cell group on sunday, in planet shakers church i think..in the city la i know.but i think i'l just join the urban life at my uni every tuesday if i'm not mistaken.so hehe :D and just wanna say that all this is possible because of one person.michelle.she brought me to WHAT IS, and when they made the call out, i went out, she accompanied me there too :) and everyone there was really great, and i had a really fun time there :D thank u michelle for making this happen.

OKAY! that's all for now..i'l be playing tennis tmr morning..so have to sleeP early.nites ppl :)

on thursday..i went to chadstone, a shopping complex here in melb.i use to order this roast pork. it also has ceaser salad, and potatoes, and including a drink which cost $9.90. THIS TIME! i ordered the same thing again.but they didnt give me a drink.so i asked

me: er..excuse me.does this meal include a drink?
woman: nope.
me: but i bought this the last time, they gave me a drink.
woman: oh..we've changed our menu. PORK PRICE WENT UP!! NO MORE FREE DRINK.

i think my blogdrive is having some problems loading..i'm sure some of u agree with me..primary contribution is mr CHUNG WEI! =P hahaha..he's been telling me that my blogdrive loads very slow..and i have no idea how to fix it..so as a solution, i guess..wth! just change to blogspot then =D

so..here i am! after creating this account, i actually think blogspot is more user friendly. i mean the page layout and all, its just a click away, dun have to type all html codings and stuff (pening kepala) hahaa..

so i guess i'l stay here at blogspot UNTIL another problem comes.. =P u know wat?! before using my blogdrive account, i was actually using blogspot..and using blogspot again..since the last time i used it, they have a lot more improvements than before! :D unlike blogdrive..i dont think they have changed anything since..quite long..haha.

anyway!! my parents were here a week ago :D :D they stayed in the city for a few days and came over to my place to stay for a few days, hehe..and they just went back last saturday.. =( was so happy when they were here..although i didnt get to spend much time with them because of my performance measurement presentation and my tax law assignment. but anyhow, i see them almost everyday just that didnt follow them to philip island and great ocean road when they visited those places..

well..i'm done with my tax law assignment! :D yay!! did it with michelle and pohyee.surprisingly we had FUN doing it..! wahhaha..tho quite last min..we did until like 9.30am on the due date, which is due like at 4pm! =P hehe..last minuteness..but we managed =) i just did my performance measurement presentation on wednesday..and the assignment is due next week.almost done! after this..NO MORE!! hahaa..and the last challenge would be..my FINALS! which starts in October 30th which..the bloody first paper is TAX LAW!!!!! followed by 1st and 2nd of sept for debt and equity subjects, and my last paper...........6th sept- performance measurement. THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN..... HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

going back to malaysia on NOVEMBER 18tH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
